❤️🌸🕊June loveletter❤️🌸🕊️

Dear lovely ones,

I usually send these love letters at the beginning of the month, but somehow June has swept me up in its currents and carried me along before I had chance to sit down and write to you. Sorry!!

The beginning of June has been beautifully full.

I celebrated my daughter turning thirteen, which feels like such a threshold. There is something profound about witnessing our children step into a new season of themselves. It feels as though only yesterday she was curled up in my arms, and now I watch her finding her own way in the world. Parenthood is full of these bittersweet moments – learning to hold on and let go, all at the same time.

May ended with sunshine pouring down upon us, and I found myself teaching at festivals once again. We were so blessed with the incredible weather at Shindig Festival, sharing kids’ yoga beneath blue skies, surrounded by beautiful friends and their families. There is something magical about seeing children move freely, laugh wholeheartedly and simply be themselves. It truly was such a special time, one that filled my cup and reminded me how nourishing community can be.

I’ve also just completed Module Two of my year-long macrobiotic course, and it has been incredibly inspiring. Exploring wholefood cooking, meridians and Eastern wisdom around health has opened my eyes to a new level of well-being and reminded me that there’s always more to discover on this journey of caring for ourselves.

My school - The international Macrobiotic School are holding a Summer Garden Party and it promises to be a wonderful celebration of community, good food and the joys of the season.

There will be incredible homemade food, a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and the chance to spend a summer afternoon surrounded by nature and lovely company. Please see the flyer below for more information.

As I write this it is pouring from the high heaven. Now the weather has changed, as it so often does here in England. One moment we’re basking in glorious sunshine and the next we’re reaching for our waterproofs. Perhaps there is wisdom in that. Nature teaches us adaptability. To soften rather than resist. To welcome each season as it arrives and trust that sunshine always returns.

This Saturday!!!! - yes I know it's only a couple of days away ...., I’m holding a beautiful Summer Solstice Sunrise Yoga Session with fire ritual, sea swim and breakfast. The forecast looks glorious (horray!!), and I feel increasingly that we need to seize these moments when the light calls us outdoors. To rise early, gather together, witness the dawn and remember what it means to belong to the earth beneath our feet and the sky above our heads. These simple rituals become anchors in a busy world.

The early morning yoga sessions at Meadfoot Beach on Wednesdays continue to bring so much joy. There is something about practising beside the sea and then slipping into the water afterwards that feels utterly life-giving.

Monday evenings at The Imperial are beautiful too. Yoga followed by the opportunity to use the spa for just £5 feels like such an act of kindness towards ourselves – a gentle exhale at the beginning of the week.

And if venturing out isn’t possible, my online restorative class on Wednesdays at 7.30pm is always there to welcome you home to yourself. Your first session is free. It has become one of my favourite offerings because it’s the one night of the week that I sleep deeply and peacefully. I teach, close my laptop, climb into bed, and have the best night’s sleep of the entire week. It reminds me that rest isn’t a luxury; it’s essential.

As we approach the Summer Solstice, we’re invited to honour the longest days and the fullness of the light. Solstice is often seen as a celebration of abundance, vitality and outward expression, but it also carries an invitation to pause. To notice what is flourishing in our lives. To give thanks for what we’ve cultivated. To ask ourselves gently:

What do I want to illuminate?

What no longer needs to remain hidden?

How can I live more wholeheartedly?

The wheel keeps turning.

Next weekend, I’ll be away holding a wellbeing space at a beautiful farm in Cheddar, complete with its own stone circle. I can’t wait to gather there beneath open skies and continue sharing these practices that connect us back to ourselves and each other.

As summer unfolds, I hope you make time for small joys. Bare feet on the grass. Early morning swims. Tea in the garden. Watching the sunset. Dancing in your kitchen. A conversation that nourishes your soul.

Life moves quickly. The to-do lists rarely end. But perhaps the true richness of life is found in these simple moments of presence.

Thank you, as always, for being part of this community and allowing me to share this journey with you.

Ive included a yummy playlist for you. Enjoy x

May you welcome the light, both around you and within you.

With love,

Nina x
