❤️🌸🕊September Loveletter 🕊🌸❤️

Dear Beautiful Ones…
I’m so sorry this love letter is a little late getting out to you. September has arrived — and wow, what a day we had yesterday! The sunshine stayed with us all day, and I shared Park Yoga at Torre Abbey with a beautiful Artist Residency happening all around us. It felt so lovely to be practising together, surrounded by creativity, community and sunshine. And I even got to sneak in a little swim in the sea in the afternoon with a dear friend, relishing every single second of the sunshine still shining. One of those days that makes you want to bottle the feeling and keep it for the winter.
September is a season that begins to turn.
The evenings soften. There’s a different quality to the light. The mornings have a little more coolness in them, and the trees begin their quiet preparation for letting go.
September always feels like a threshold to me — a gentle invitation to pause and notice where we are.
We are moving towards the Autumn Equinox, a beautiful moment of balance when day and night are almost equal. Nature reminds us that there is a time for expansion and a time for returning home; a time to blossom outwardly and a time to gather our energy back in.
There is something so wise in this.
The trees don’t cling to their leaves. The earth doesn’t resist the changing season. Nature simply trusts the turning.
And perhaps we can too.
Autumn asks us what we might gently release. What have we carried through the summer that we no longer need? Where could we create a little more balance? Where might we soften, slow down and listen more deeply to ourselves?
I think this is one of the beautiful teachings of yoga — learning to move with the seasons rather than against them.
A summer full of connection
August has been wonderfully full for me. Full of work, festivals, nature, music, ceremony and, most of all, community.
I worked in production at an incredible tea ceremony at Medicine Festival, surrounded by indigenous tribes from all over the world. I shared yoga at Beautiful Days with my daughter, spent time at Rainbow Camp a beautiful conscious gathering that has been happening for 40 years — and shared donation massages there.
At Rainbow, a tornado ripped through and took out around 20 tents, and lightning struck a tree which came crashing down. Yet somehow, amongst all of that wildness, there was this extraordinary sense of people looking after one another.
And that is what I love most about festivals.
The connection.
People sharing food, sitting together, singing, chanting, helping one another. Remembering that we are not separate.
I’ve been chanting so much this summer, and I think perhaps my heart has needed that — the remembering, the belonging, the feeling of being part of something bigger than myself.
I’ve also spent time alongside a very dear friend who has been terribly poorly, which has brought its own tenderness and perspective to these months.
And now, as summer begins to soften, I’m feeling the invitation to come home a little more.
Yoga as the seasons change 🍁
I’m still teaching outside until the end of September, and I’m really not ready to let go of that just yet!
There is something magical about beginning the day outside, breathing in the fresh morning air and looking out across the beautiful vista at Meadfoot Beach. There is cover if the weather turns, so we can still enjoy being outdoors and connected to nature.
Park Yoga is also coming to an end for the season, and I just want to say how incredibly grateful I am for everyone who came along. What began as a yoga class became something much more — a beautiful community gathering.
And then there are our Monday evenings at the Imperial Hotel.
They’ve been very quiet over the summer, which is such a shame because I think this could be such a beautiful way to begin the week.
You can arrive early and enjoy the spa for just £5 instead of £15 with free parking and a complimentary towel, before coming to yoga at 7:30pm.
A little warmth. A little stillness. A little time for yourself.
Perhaps this autumn is the perfect time to bring that back.
What would nourish you this autumn?
As we move towards the darker months, I’d really love to hear from you.
What would feel good?
Would you prefer daytime or evening classes? A beautiful venue, or somewhere more simple and community-based? Would you like more restorative yoga, Yin, Yoga Nidra, ceremonies, seasonal gatherings or something completely different?
This is your yoga community too, and I’d genuinely love to hear what would nourish you.
Please message me. Tell me what you need.
Welcoming the Autumn Equinox
On Wednesday 23rd September, I’ll be gathering for our final sunrise celebration of the season — a beautiful morning to welcome the turning towards autumn. Equinox is actually on this day so it feels right to celebrate it when the sunrise rises.
We’ll meet in the early morning, as the world is waking, and take some time to breathe, move, connect with nature and honour this beautiful moment of balance.
A chance to stand at the threshold.
To acknowledge all that summer has brought.
To give thanks.
And to gently turn our faces towards what comes next.
And one last adventure…
I’m also heading off to my final festival of the season over the Autumn Equinox weekend.
And honestly, if you’ve been thinking about coming to a festival, this is the one I would choose. Wonderment Festival is the one!!
Its held on the most incredible private estate, beautiful nature, private swimming lakes, saunas and proper sit-down banquet meals. It feels like such a special way to close the summer chapter.
I’ll be sharing yoga there alongside some other beautiful practitioners, and I would absolutely love to see some of you there.
And there’s something else quietly taking shape too…
I met a beautiful woman this summer who sings with the voice of an angel, and we’ve been dreaming about creating something together — perhaps around a fire, with beautiful food, gentle yoga, sound healing and Yoga Nidra.
Something intimate.
Something soulful.
Something that feels like coming home.
Watch this space…
As we move into this beautiful turning season, I hope you give yourself permission to slow down.
To rest.
To listen to the wisdom of your own body.
To notice the beauty in the changing light, the falling leaves, the cooler mornings and the invitation to turn inward.
Thank you for being part of my little yoga world.
I’m so grateful for this community, for every mat that has been rolled out, every breath shared, every conversation, every laugh and every quiet moment together.
🌿 A Blessing for Autumn 🌿
May you walk gently into this new season,
with gratitude in your heart,
clarity in your mind,
and warmth in your soul.
May you release what no longer serves you,
and receive all the gifts that are waiting to arrive.
May balance, peace, and joy find you,
wherever you are,
and however the seasons turn.
And remember, I’m always here for you — if ever you need anything, just reach out.
With love always,
Nina xx
Breathe, love, laugh, be kind + be grateful
And please, dont forget to get in touch and tell me what you’d love from your yoga this season.
